We're looking for a Housing Repairs Administrator to join our Property Services team and play a vital role in delivering a responsive, reliable and customer-focused repairs service for our residents.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administration, scheduling, customer service and practical property maintenance knowledge. You'll be the key link between residents reporting repairs, maintenance operatives carrying out work and contractors supporting the service.

No two days are the same. One moment you'll be coordinating urgent repair appointments and managing workloads, the next you'll be speaking with residents, updating repair records or helping colleagues resolve operational challenges.

About the Role

As our Housing Repairs Administrator, you'll help ensure repairs are completed efficiently, appointments are managed effectively and residents receive excellent service throughout the repairs process.

You'll coordinate maintenance activities from initial report through to completion, ensuring jobs are correctly allocated, records are maintained and residents remain informed every step of the way.

This role is ideal for someone who understands property maintenance and enjoys combining practical knowledge with administration and customer service responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing

Coordinating Repairs and Maintenance Receiving and processing repair requests from residents. Scheduling routine, urgent and emergency maintenance work. Managing operatives' diaries and allocating jobs based on priority, location and available skills. Monitoring outstanding repairs and ensuring work progresses within agreed timescales. Arranging follow-on works, contractor visits and additional appointments where required. Maintaining accurate repair records and updating systems throughout the lifecycle of each job. Acting as a key point of contact for residents regarding repairs and appointments. Keeping residents informed about progress, delays or changes to scheduled works. Responding professionally and empathetically to enquiries and concerns. Helping ensure vulnerable residents receive the support and communication they need. Using your maintenance knowledge to help identify repair requirements and allocate work appropriately. Liaising with operatives and contractors regarding access, materials and scheduling. Supporting the wider maintenance team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently. Providing practical assistance with maintenance tasks when appropriate and within your level of competence. Producing information and reports relating to repair activity and performance. Identifying opportunities to improve scheduling, communication and service delivery. Supporting compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and organisational policies. About You

You'll be a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys balancing customer service with operational coordination.

You will have:

Previous experience in a repairs, maintenance, construction, property services or similar environment. Practical maintenance knowledge and an understanding of common property repairs. Experience coordinating workloads, appointments or operational activities. Strong administration and organisational skills. Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues. A calm and professional approach when dealing with changing priorities and challenging situations. It Would Be Great If You Also Have

Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance. Experience scheduling maintenance operatives or trade teams. Knowledge of responsive repairs, void properties or planned maintenance programmes. Experience using housing management, repairs management or workforce scheduling systems. Why Join Us
