Description
MorePeople have partnered with a not-for-profit organisation based in Peterborough to lead the recruitment of the next Business Support and Event Manager. This is an exciting, multi-faceted role within a small but highly effective team that consistently delivers above and beyond in both influence and impact. Key Responsibilities:
Membership Engagement and Administration
Act as the primary point of contact for members and potential membersManage membership applications, daily liaison, and general office administrationMaintain and update the membership database to ensure accuracy and completenessEvent Management
Plan, manage, and deliver high-quality events, awards, forums, and workshopsOversee all aspects of event delivery, including budgets, suppliers, venues, AV, entertainment, sponsors, and guest managementDevelop and execute marketing campaigns to promote events and maximise attendanceTake ownership of event profit centres, including financial administration and reportingMaintain and update event websites and coordinate with external agencies as requiredMarketing and Communications
Create and distribute regular newsletters and marketing materials to membersDevelop creative campaigns to raise the profile of events and membership offeringsMonitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform marketing and event strategyStrategy and Development
Identify opportunities to expand regional events, workshops, and forums to increase member valueBuild relationships with partners and sponsors to enhance event offeringsLead or support special projects to drive business development and innovationMaintain a strong understanding of the sector, market trends, and organisational servicesRequirements and Skills:
Proven experience in event management, membership services, or marketingStrong project management skills with the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectivelyExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsExperience with CRM systems, CMS website management, and email marketing tools such as MailchimpFlexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a small team environmentIf you are interested in learning more and want to work with a business making a real impact, please contact Angus on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
