An established public sector organisation based in Belfast City Centre is seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join their busy Operations team. This organisation provides essential services to support health professionals and the wider community, operating within a fast paced and highly regulated environment.

Your new role

As Administrative Support Officer, you will provide day to day administrative support to Team Leaders and management, ensuring all documentation and payment claims are processed accurately and in line with departmental procedures.Your responsibilities will include:Inputting, processing and validating payment claims to strict monthly deadlinesMaintaining accurate manual and computerised systemsHandling telephone and email enquiries from staff, contractors, patients and the publicPreparing documents and assisting senior staff with reports and proposalsAttending meetings and taking notes when requiredProviding cover for other administrative colleaguesSupporting continuous improvement and contributing to a high quality service for all stakeholdersThis is a full time role (37.5 hours per week) based in Belfast City Centre

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will have:5 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English and Maths or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) plus 1 year's administrative experience

OR

Two years' relevant administrative experienceAt least 1 year's experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookExperience using a computerised database for data inputStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlinesStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloadAbility to work both independently and as part of a wider teamAn understanding of confidentiality requirements
