The Company:

Our client is a leading engineering firm specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality, bespoke solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. They are seeking a commercially astute and technically capable Internal Technical Sales professional to join their growing team.

This role is central to the sales operation, supporting both new business development and existing client accounts. You will handle technical enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure projects run smoothly from enquiry through to delivery.

The Role:

Respond promptly and professionally to inbound sales enquiries (phone & email).

Interpret technical requirements and prepare accurate, competitive quotations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their go-to point of contact.

Proactively follow up on quotations, identify upsell opportunities, and promote solutions.

Provide first-line technical guidance and recommend suitable products or engineered solutions.

Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.

Accurately process orders and liaise with stock, logistics, and production to meet agreed delivery dates.

Keep customers updated on order status, managing any changes, delays, or issues with professionalism.

The Candidate:

Experience in internal sales, technical sales, or customer service within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

Able to confidently explain technical concepts and solutions to customers.

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Experience using CRM systems to manage enquiries and pipeline activity.

Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
