PR Executive

Description

I'm currently recruiting for an established and growing financial services organisation that is looking to strengthen its marketing and communications team with a talented PR & Social Media Executive.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years' experience in PR, communications or social media who wants a varied role covering PR, media relations, content, social and wider brand activity.

You'll work closely with the marketing team and senior stakeholders to build brand awareness, generate media coverage and create engaging content across a range of channels.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop PR opportunities to generate quality media coverageWrite press releases, features, articles, blogs and thought leadership contentCreate and manage engaging content across social media channelsSupport the development and delivery of PR and social media campaignsBuild relationships with journalists, media contacts and relevant external partnersMonitor media coverage, social engagement and campaign performanceSupport senior stakeholders with media opportunities, interviews and external communicationsWork with the wider marketing team on campaigns, launches and brand initiativesIdentify reactive PR opportunities and coordinate timely responsesManage community engagement and respond to social media enquiriesSupport events, partnerships and other brand activity

What we are looking for?

2+ years' experience within PR, communications, journalism, social media or a similar environmentExperience planning and delivering PR campaignsStrong media relations skills and an ability to build relationships with journalistsExperience managing social media channels and campaignsExcellent copywriting, editing and storytelling skillsStrong organisation and project management skillsComfortable managing multiple priorities and working to deadlinesCreative, proactive and commercially mindedExperience using social media management and scheduling platformsFinancial services or regulated–sector experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential

A varied role where you'll have the opportunity to work across PR, social, content and wider communications, rather than being restricted to one area.

You'll have plenty of exposure to senior stakeholders, the opportunity to get involved in high–profile campaigns and the chance to make a real impact on the brand's external presence.
