Field Sales Account Manager (Agriculture)

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a highly respected & reputable agricultural sector sales business that sells & distributes an array of agri machinery, tools, spare parts & components, plus accessories.

This market leading agricultural client is seeking an experienced Field Sales Account Manager to further develop the North, North–East & Highlands areas of Scotland where they already have c.800 key clients (one of their strongest territories).

You will be tasked with expanding sales revenue streams (across both new & current accounts), improving sales margins & increasing market presence across this designated Scottish territory.

This is a key role within our clients well established business, selling & promoting 1000's of different agricultural products, negotiating directly with independent farmers & corporate farming businesses.

This is a pure field based role, where you will be out & about visiting current & potential clients managing your own diary to achieve the set sales targets / KPI's.

If you are a field sales professional, who has experience of selling directly into the farming, agricultural & / or agronomy industry, then this could be the ideal role for you.

UK wide the company supply 10,000+ clients, so they are well positioned within the agri & groundcare World, but they want to continue expanding their client base.

Duties / Responsibilities:

To effectively achieve territory sales targets for the agricultural products within agreed guidelines for costs, revenue levels, gross profits and product % margins. Build business relationships, for the long term benefit of the business / brands. Liaise professionally with all target farming companies, independent farmers & other associated organisations. Take ownership of all sales lead generation & conversion, by identifying potential new customers, plus potential opportunities within the defined territory. Attend industry related exhibitions & trade shows to represent the company, with a professional image at all times Continually update your knowledge of the companies products Exceed your personal sales budget / target & other KPI's. Update records and the CRM system with accurate information. Work closely with your designated Telesales partner, who assists you in achieving the sales targets (team of 2). Take part in & positively contribute to all sales meetings / sales training days. Attributes:

You must have proven agricultural sales & account management experience in a field based sales role selling directly to farmers. Excellent communication skills & a strong negotiator / closer of sales Professional image & high level personal presentation Strong IT computer skills, including experience in using CRM systems.
