Description
Beautiful traditional hand-knotted Persian/Oriental runner with an intricate geometric design featuring repeated cream-coloured medallions on a rich terracotta/brown ground, with blue, gold, cream and darker accents.
The rug is approximately 300 cm long × 75–80 cm wide and has a fine, lustrous pile with a lovely traditional character.
The rug appears to be considerably older than the other runners we have for sale. The colours on the front have faded naturally over time, particularly in areas exposed to light, while the reverse retains much stronger original-looking colours.
It is in used vintage condition, with visible fading, wear to the pile and some wear/damage to the fringe at the ends. Please study all the photographs carefully, as they show the condition and construction of the rug.
A beautiful decorative piece for a hallway or landing, particularly for someone looking for an older traditional Persian rug with an aged, faded appearance.
