Quite a unique and attractive roaster It has had very little use. Almost new. Inside, the lower part is beautifully glazed to make cleaning simple. It can hold a chicken of around 2.8kg or smaller chickens, each with vegetables etc also added. Roasts beautifully without taking the lid off, meaning the oven stays clean and the chicken browns beautifully while remaining moist, tender and beautifully succulent. No need to add any fats or oils. Chickens come out falling off the bone and pot roasts come out tender and full of flavour.
I also use other terracotta pots of this type type for baking artisan, crispy-crusted breads with a tender crumb. This pot would easily accommodate a loaf made with a recipe which uses 500gms of flour.
