This Peugeot road bike has been in regular use in and around the locality of Loughborough until very recently. In past years it has been used for touring by the present owner. The 24" frame made in France from Carbolite steel is in good condition as are the front and rear forks. The Weinmann rear wheel and standard front wheel are both fitted with Schwalbe Marathon 700x35C tyres each of which has a relatively new tread pattern. The pedal crank has 3 gear cogs which provide High, Medium and Low gearing for the 5 cog block on the rear wheel. This arrangement provides the rider with 15 gears. The Shimano derailleur gear system is operated by two control levers attached to the bike's down frame leading from the front fork pillar. The front and rear calliper brakes are well shod and in good working order. A pannier frame is fitted to the rear forks. The forward facing wide handle bars are curved slightly upwards and are equipped with brake levers and a bell. The shaped seat provides the rider with a firm but comfortable support. The gear cogs and bike chain are clean, in good condition and like the front and rear wheel and pedal crank bearings have been regularly oiled and greased and kept in good working order. The bike would suit a person who wanted to travel to and from work as well as making journeys further afield. The asking price is £15 ono. Buyer collects.
