Description
🥨 Market Sales Assistant – Alexandra Palace Farmers Market
Artisan Foods is looking for a reliable, high-energy individual to join our team! We are a long-established artisan bakery with 25+ years of history at Borough Market and across London. We specialize in authentic German sourdough breads, pretzels, and cakes.
If you love fresh bread, thrive in a bustling outdoor environment, and have a competitive sales spirit, we want to hear from you.
The Role
You will be responsible for running our popular stall at the Alexandra Palace Farmers Market every Sunday. This is an autonomous role where you are the face of our bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating a visually appealing display that stops customers in their tracks. Completing accurate stock lists at the start and end of the day. Engaging with the public, recommending your favourites, and hitting sales goals. Efficiently processing cash and card payments. Advising customers on ingredients and allergens (full training provided). About You
We need a "people person" who doesn't mind a bit of hard work and fresh air.
You can commit to every Sunday, 09:00 – 15:30. You are comfortable with medium-heavy lifting (setting up gazebos/crates). You are confident working alone and managing the stall. You speak fluent English and love chatting with customers. You must have the right to work in the UK. What We Offer
Competitive salary (paid weekly/monthly). Paid holiday entitlement. Generous staff discount on all our award-winning breads and cakes. A fun, vibrant outdoor working environment.
