2007 Renault Clio Renaultsport 197 – 122k miles – MOT Feb 2027 – huge history file

Selling my Clio 197, which I've owned since March 2020. It's been properly looked after rather than just driven, and I have invoices for almost everything done in that time. It's had well over £7,000 spent on it. No warning lights, and it drives as a 197 should.

- Brand-new windscreen just fitted, with no chips or cracks

It's a proper old-school hot hatch: a free-revving 2.0 that loves the top end, a slick 6-speed box and sharp steering that makes every B-road a pleasure. Genuinely one of the most fun cars I've owned, and I'll be sad to see it go.

MAJOR WORK
- New windscreen (fitted Sep 2026)
- Front brakes overhauled (discs, pads and wheel bearings) and rear springs replaced in March 2026
- Front subframe replaced (the known 197 rust spot)
- Front struts, springs, top mounts and drop links (Feb 2025)
- Rear brake discs with bearings, both rear calipers, handbrake cables, brake pipes and fluid (Sep 2025)
- Inner and outer steering rod ends, wheel alignment (2024)
- NSF lower ball joint and hub assembly, ABS sensor (2020)
- Gearbox rebuilt and new clutch kit (2018, previous owner)
- Regular servicing with 5W40, plugs, filters and brake fluid
- Cambelt and water pump last changed in 2017 at 58k miles, so now due on age and mileage. Priced to reflect this.

SPEC
2.0 16v, 197bhp, 6-speed manual, Brembo brake calipers, rear diffuser, 17" alloys, Renaultsport sports seats, genuine Renaultsport mats, RS sill plates, alloy pedals, climate control (needs an air con re-gas), wind deflectors.

Tyres: 215/45 R17 all round with good tread. Fronts fitted late 2024.

It's a 19-year-old car and looks it in places:
- Kerb marks on all four alloys
- Scrapes on the offside rear bumper corner and some peeling paint on top of the rear bumper
- Scuff on the front bumper, grille surrounds flaking
- Small mark on the driver's seat bolster
- Air con needs a re-gas

The rear seats are like new and the rest of the interior is clean and tidy. All of it is shown in the photos, so there are no surprises on viewing.

Mechanically well kept, with major work like the subframe, suspension and brakes already done. It just needs the cambelt to be fully sorted, and it's priced with that in mind.
