Description
1973 automatic. Family owned since 1998. I first bought this car in 1998 and my Dad had it from 2000. The car was on the road for a couple of years and then the engine failed. He removed the engine and it sat there in a heated garage until 2019, when I got the car back.
Work carried out since I got the car back :-
My Dad sourced a good used engine which I checked through before fitting. It has had every seal and gasket replaced. The valves have been cut and re ground. New timing gears have been fitted. It has electronic ignition and new engine mounts. Carb has been rebuilt. Autobox all new seals and gearbox mount. Gear selector was rebuilt. Rear axle new bearings and seals. Breaking system overhauled including new break pipes. Front callipers rebuilt. New brake servo and brake booster. New springs and bushes in the suspension. Stainless steel fuel tank. Chassis is in good condition. Wheels sandblasted and repainted. Good tyres all round. The only thing that lets it down, is that the bodywork's is not perfect. It could do with a respray . Mechanically this car is good. It comes with lots of history.
