Description

Our client is a leading financial services provider based in the North of England. We are seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to partner with senior leaders across the Business, translating our strategic ambition into workforce requirements, shaping the organization and building the capabilities needed for the future

Role Purpose

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Commercial will act as a strategic partner to business leaders across revenue-generating and performance-driven departments (e.g., Operations, Trading, Marketing).

This role focuses on driving business performance through people, aligning HR initiatives with commercial objectives, enhancing productivity, and enabling leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

Partner with senior stakeholders to align HR strategy with departmental commercial goalsProvide insight and challenge to improve organisational performance and efficiencySupport business growth initiatives through workforce planning and talent strategyPerformance & Talent Management

Drive performance management frameworks focused on measurable business outcomesSupport leaders in setting KPIs, managing underperformance, and developing high performersIdentify critical roles and build succession and talent pipelinesCommercial Workforce Planning

Analyse headcount, productivity, and revenue-per-employee metricsDevelop workforce plans aligned with growth targets and budget constraintsAdvise on organisational design to optimise team performanceLeadership & Capability Development

Coach managers on performance leadership, accountability, and team effectivenessDesign and implement development initiatives for high-impact rolesStrengthen leadership capability in driving business resultsData-Driven Decision Making

Use HR analytics to provide insights on performance, attrition, and engagementTranslate data into actionable recommendations for business leadersMonitor impact of HR initiatives on commercial outcomesChange & Transformation

Support organisational change initiatives linked to business transformationEnsure effective communication and adoption of new structures or strategiesDrive a high-performance, results-oriented culture

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a commercial or revenue-driven environmentAt least 4+ years relevant HR experienceStrong understanding of performance management and organisational effectivenessExperience supporting Operations, Trading, Marketing, or similar business functionsDemonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive changeStrong analytical skills with experience using HR data to inform decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent

Desirable

Experience in financial services or similar environments.Knowledge of workforce analytics tools and HR systemsCIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalentExperience in high-growth or international organisations
