Key Responsibilities for a HR Advisor

Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on HR best practices, policies, and processes, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law. Support all stages, including recruitment, induction, engagement, benefits administration, training coordination, and accurate payroll submission data. Assist the HR Manager with planning, training, and policy updates related to new or adapted employment law legislation. Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential employee records, generate necessary reports/KPIs, and support departmental data requests. Act as a coach/mentor to other HR team members and deputise for the HR Manager during absences.

Key Skills for a HR Advisor

CIPD Qualification Level 5 (or Working Towards)

Previous experience working within a HR department

Communication Skills

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel
