Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Adviser to join our HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fast-paced, office-based role in the heart of Glasgow, providing expert HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a high volume of casework, ensuring managers receive timely, pragmatic and commercially focused advice while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a busy environment and has strong employee relations experience.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a high volume of employee relations cases from initial consultation through to resolution. Providing advice and guidance to managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, conduct and capability matters. Supporting and, where required, leading formal HR meetings and investigations. Ensuring all casework is managed in line with employment law, company policies and best practice. Preparing and reviewing HR documentation, including investigation reports, outcome letters and management guidance. Supporting managers with complex employee issues and escalating risks where appropriate. Maintaining accurate HR records and case management data. Partnering with key stakeholders to identify and implement practical HR solutions. Supporting wider HR projects and initiatives as required during the contract period.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in an HR Adviser or Employee Relations-focused role. Strong experience managing a high volume of complex casework. Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload. Confidence in coaching and influencing managers at all levels. A proactive and solutions-focused approach. CIPD qualification or working towards qualification is desirable.
