Education Human Resources Officer

Location: LutonJob Type: Full Time - Mon-Fri (Term Time only plus 5 additional days)Pay Grade: GBP16.08 per hourHours: Minimum of 30 hours per week We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our team at a well-respected educational institution within a Multi Academy Trust. This role is key in providing front-line HR support and advice, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, employment law, and best practices, specifically tailored to the educational setting.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Oversee the HR function across the academyFocus on employee relations, transactions, and statutory record keeping Manage staffing mattersMaintain accurate staff records on educational software eg Arbor.Manage the end-to-end recruitment process ensuring alignment with safeguarding requirements Maintain confidential HR and payroll recordsManage HR-related correspondenceProvide support and advice to the Headteacher and Senior Leaders in relation to employee matters eg sickness absence management, disciplinary, performance Ensure all HR policies are updated and compliant with current legislation and reflect requirements of the educational setting.Administer the payroll system, ensuring accuracy in payroll reportsCollaborate with payroll provider for assistanceDealing with queries Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in HR administrative roles, preferably within the educational sector.Strong capability in managing sensitive information with diplomacy and confidentialityOrganisational skills with the ability to multi tasks Excellent communication skillsProficient with education IT software eg SIMS or Arbor.An understanding of HR requirements and challenges within the educational sector.
