PIONEER PL12D (Mk 1) HI-FI TURNTABLE WITH SHURE CARTRIDGE
King of the 70's budget hi-fi decks from Pioneer! This is the original version having a handle on the dust cover.
This one has had the motor and spindle bearing lubricated. (Without the belt on, the platter span for over 3 minutes before I got bored waiting for it to stop!). The springs have been fitted with replacement damping foam. A new stylus has been fitted to the Shure M75ED cartridge.
Cosmetically, the plinth is in good condition but the lid has suffered. There are cracks and scuffs as shown in the photos but the lid is serviceable – still stays up when open and keeps the dust out! After servicing this classic deck runs extremely well.
