DUAL CS-505 HI-FI TURNTABLE

Description

DUAL CS-505 HI-FI TURNTABLE

Early 80’s original version of the classic Dual 505. The turntable is semi-automatic operation (move arm to start motor, manually cue arm to record, arm raises at the end of a side and lifts stopping the motor.)

All in good working order. The cartridge and stylus are new OEM Audio Technica which is fitted via a new cartridge adapter that allows any half-inch centred cartridge to be used. I have added additional weight (often lost if the stock cartridge is replaced) to the counterweight to properly balance the arm.

Cosmetically, the plinth is fine and the lid looks ok from the front but there are several cracks at the rear. These have been glued and should not spread, but is a classic case of what can happen if turntables aren’t packed properly with the lids separated from the plinth. This one still keeps the dust out and operates properly.

Happy to demonstrate working on collection.

Thanks for looking. I'll do my best with questions.
