Looking for 2 bed house (Scottish Borders: excluding Galashiels, Selkirk & Jedburgh)

Hi there, I’m a 22 year old single mum of a young boy and a dog, and I also have two (caged) pets. I’m on the lookout for a place to call home for my little family.

Currently, I’m living in Hawick in a 2 bedroom “4-in-block” council flat. However, the garden quality is awful, and the storage options are inadequate. I’m hoping to relocate out of the Scottish Borders entirely by 2028 or 2029.

Due to disabilities, I’m not able to work and receive benefits. Despite this, I’ve never missed a bill, and I always pay my rent on time. I take good care of my home. While I do enjoy decorating and some DIY projects, I always ensure that everything is done in a neat and presentable manner, without causing any damage to the property.

The rent situation is still up in the air because I get housing benefits. As long as the place I’m looking at fits my needs, I’m happy with the price.

I would prefer a home with on-street parking or a driveway, and I would also require a garden.
