Jones & Shipman 8”, high speed sensitive bench drill
Dating from the 1930s this sensitive drill press was made in Leicester by Jones and Shipman who are renowned for their precision grinding and drilling equipment.
The lever allows great control of the drilling process compared to rotating handles
Ideal for model makers, drilling printed circuit boards, jewellery making etc
Can be bench mounted, currently sat on top of a single kitchen unit buyer is welcome to this if desired
It is single phase 240 v and has a stop start switch, speeds are adjusted by moving the belts between the pulleys.
In operation it is very smooth due to the body and table of the machine being cast iron.
