VINTAGE FRENCH ENAMEL KITCHEN UTENSILS, MAROON TOLEWARE METAL LADLE & SKIMMER (ECUMOIRE) - 1940s FRENCH KITCHENALIA - REDUCED!

Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!

Part of our French kitchenalia collection, we got these from a Vide Maison at Vix, Burgundy, where they had been in the owners family for many years.
We’ve since used them mostly as display items, although they do work well.
They’re a couple of sturdy vintage French enamelled steel or toleware kitchen utensils, a Ladle (Louche) and a Skimmer (Ecumoire) strainer/spatula dating to around the 1940s.
Thickly enamelled in a brown/red that I’m advised is the colour maroon, they are now worn and chipped but still sound and intact.
Attractive pieces that display really well, they’re functional today and also make a great decorative French Kitchenalia display...

In good, sound, vintage condition with some wear chips and rust - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The enamel is thick and bright but there are several areas of chipping down to metal that has rusted but is sound with no through perforation - see photos.
The handles are worn but sound with a little flex to them.
I can find no maker’s mark.

Measure approximately:
39-40 cm long, 13.5 cm ladle diameter, 13 cm skimmer diameter,
weigh about 450 g in total.
