Part of our French copper kitchenalia collection, we got this antique copper frying pan/sauté pan from an Antique dealer in Chatillon sur Seine, Burgundy and displayed it in a kitchen but have never cooked with it.
It’s a big professional standard pan with a worn traditional hand wiped tin lining and a triple copper riveted iron handle dating to the around the 1930s.
It apparently came from the clearance of a local manoir where it was originally part of a much larger batterie de cuisine.
A heavy yet well balanced high sided frying pan or sauté pan that’s a nice size at 26 cm diameter - it also displays really well.
A quality piece that is now worn but still bright and functional, it also makes a great decorative piece of French kitchenalia…

In good antique used condition with wear, staining and tarnishing - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
In more or less as found condition, this has just had a thorough wash, I’m sure it would polish up nicely if so required.
The copper is in good, bright, sound condition with some wear and tarnishing - see photos.
The iron handle is well cast and in good condition with prominent triple copper rivets to the handle that are secure with no movement.
The lining appears to be traditional hand wiped tin - see photos.
NOTE: The tin lining is used and worn and just about intact but has a little copper visible indicating that re-lining should be anticipated in the future if to be used for serious cooking - see photos.
I can find no marker’s mark.
