The 4th generation Cayman now becomes the 718, a nod to Porsche's racing heritage that won the Targa Florio race in 1959 and 1960. Because the 718 has lost two cylinders making the engine block lighter, going from a naturally aspirated flat-6 engine to a turbocharged flat-4 engine, the aim is meant to evoke a racing series that was won by a light car which outmaneuvered the cars with more powerful heavier engines, and with 295 BHP this tarmac negotiator delivers a very impressive 0-60 in just 5.3 seconds, with pretty good fuel economy and only 190 a year to tax. Obviously Porshe's have a reputation for power but moreover they're just as desired for their looks, and with the curvaceous lines and styling the Cayman is one sexy looking sports car.
