I hired this plumber to complete two tasks: fit a valve to stop water from entering my bathroom (the main reason I called him) and fix the toilet, which was running into the bowl. We initially agreed on £80 for both jobs. However, he only fixed the toilet and then demanded £120, claiming it was a "good deal" for just the toilet repair while refusing to install the valve as agreed. The pipe for the valve was easily accessible by the bathtub, yet he still asked me where it was and if I expected him to go into the cellar to access it. He then spent 20 minutes repeatedly insisting that "no one does that" and that I didn’t need the valve, even though it was the main reason I hired him. After fixing only the toilet, he took £120 directly from my hand without my agreement. I had to threaten to call the police, with my phone in hand and ready to follow through, before he reluctantly returned £40 and left. To make matters worse, he left a mess behind for me to clean up. This was an incredibly stressful and unprofessional experience for me and my friend who was wisiting me at the time. I would not recommend his services. Unreliable, dishonest, and unwilling to complete agreed-upon work while leaving the space in a state of disarray.

Had a leaking bathroom pipe, disintegrated washer. Fantastic job done, came out rapidly after a morning call to fix. Friendly, straight to business and quickly and efficiently solved the problem! Was worried how hard it might be to find someone on Saturday while that leak was ongoing but great peace of mind now that Ian's been and gone.
