Piano, Violin and Theory Tuition in West End

Description

I am a piano and violin teacher with over 15 years' experience of teaching in independent schools and private practice. I graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where I had a scholarship as a first study pianist, and the University of Edinburgh. I also hold grade 8 violin with distinction and continued to study violin alongside piano at RSAMD. I am based in Hyndland.

I enjoy sharing my love of music and have a very flexible approach. I can help you play just for pleasure or prepare for exams, whether you want to play classical, pop, jazz or traditional music. I am able to tailor my approach to suit each individual and their goals. I am able to work with less confident readers and believe in developing reading skills so that they become second nature, as it makes learning pieces so easy.

I have a proven track record of exam success with many students achieving merits and distinctions. I have experience with SQA National 5 and Higher, Associated Board, Trinity and Rock School exams, and also teach theory. Coaching for the grade 5 theory exam also offered. I am able to accompany my violin pupils when taking part in exams.

I am a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
