We came to Alex to get help with our dog’s overly protective behaviours. Alex was able to clearly identify and explain the root-cause of the behaviours. He worked with us over several months, introducing a number of practical steps to help address the problem. He was able to adjust the approach we were taking based off our week-to-week progress to ensure positive results were being achieved. It has now been a few months since we finished working with Alex and we are really happy with the end result - our dog is far better behaved within the house and, as a bonus, she even walks to heel on the lead now. Highly recommend.

I have been working with Alex who has helped me with my dog who is very reactive to other dogs. I would certainly recommend him as he explained things and is very easy to work with. I would without doubt go back to him again if I needed too.

Alex ( we called him the dog whisperer ) professional, clear instructions that really helped our 2 6 month old pups. Highly recommend He knows a dogs language and also the needs of the owner patient and understanding . We were very impressed with his knowledge and love of dogs Thank you

When we struggled with our 10 month old working cocker spaniel puppy’s lead pulling, chewing carpet and stealing food, a friend recommended Alex of 101 Dog Solutions. Alex quickly arranged a first home visit and right away worked with us to change the way we approached our dog’s behaviour. That was transformative! His patience and knowledge are amazing. He’s also helping us with our 6 year old Labrador to overcome fear of strangers. Alex’s communication is brilliant, texting to check in on progress and offering helpful advice. I highly recommend Alex - we are so grateful for his help and dog walking is now a pleasure!

Alex is simply amazing at what he does with the human and dog interaction . His techniques that he guides you with and simple but clever and is explained in a way that makes you really think about your influences on the dog. Alex is the 6th person we have tried with our reactive one eyed rescue lab cross. We have tried the positive only method, we have tried the balanced training method, we have tried the security dog training, we have tried people that have some knowledge but failed at the last hurdle. Alex is different. Alex isn't a trainer, he is a behaviourist. He understands the dog. Finally we have success! We have progressed so much further with Alex in 3 sessions than we have in 18 months with 5 other people. Hobbs no longer chokes himself when he sees another dog, no longer lunges and barks he sees the dog and turns his head to check in with the other person on the other end of his lead as if to say Dad, I did good see, I didn't want to rush over to the other dog, now please can I have my treat. He's not perfect and we still have to be mindful of distance but it's amazing to see how different he has become since following Alex's guidance. I can't recommend Alex enough, his name has fireworks, trumpets and ticker tape all around it in our house, no word for f a lie. He deserves every single recommendation as he really has given us hope for a pleasant walking experience with Hobbs rather than one filled with dread, fear and tears of exasperation. There is light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Alex and 101 Dog Solutions.
