Description

Team Assistant – Commercial Property

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

Working Pattern: Fully office based

Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Legal Assistant or Team Assistant with a background in property law, looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive and established team?

We are currently recruiting for a Team Assistant to join a busy Commercial Property team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys being at the heart of a legal team, providing high-quality administrative support and helping everything run smoothly.

Previous property experience is essential for this role. Ideally, you will have worked within Commercial Property, however candidates with solid Residential Property experience will also be considered.

The hiring manager is particularly looking for someone who enjoys working within legal administration and support and is looking for stability and longevity within this type of position, rather than someone whose longer-term ambition is to progress into a fee-earning role.

Benefits:

£27,000 per annum

Annual bonus scheme

26 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Birthday off plus birthday voucher

Flexible working options

Pension scheme

Life insurance

Income protection for up to two years

Private healthcare and wellbeing benefits

Healthcare cash plan

Wellbeing support, including Calm Premium and 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme

Duties of the Team Assistant:

Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial Property team

Managing the administrative aspects of legal matters from file opening through to file closure

Ensuring compliance, file organisation and records are kept fully up to date

Producing, formatting and managing legal documents and correspondence

Transcribing digital dictation

Providing extensive diary and inbox management for lawyers

Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails and electronic documentation

Keeping lawyers updated on tasks, deadlines and key dates

Supporting with billing, payment requests, credit control and other matter-related financial administration

Processing new client enquiries and acting as a professional first point of contact

Liaising with clients via telephone, email and face-to-face

Supporting with general office duties, including reception cover when required

Working collaboratively with other Team Assistants and providing cover during periods of absence

Using systems and technology effectively to improve efficiency and ways of working

What we would like from you:

Previous Commercial Property experience would be highly desirable

As a minimum, you must have previous Residential Property experience

Previous experience within a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Team Assistant or similar legal support position

A genuine desire to build a long-term career within legal administration and support

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

Confidence managing multiple priorities, diaries and deadlines

Strong communication and client service skills

A professional, personable and collaborative approach

Good IT and document production skills

An understanding of confidentiality and compliance within a legal environment

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being an integral part of a legal team and takes pride in providing first-class support.

If you have previous Commercial Property or Residential Property experience and this sounds like the right next move for you, we would love to hear from you. Apply today with your most recent CV.
