Description

Service Care Solutions is working alongside an employee-focused local authority, based in Reading, who are seeking an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to join their established and highly regarded legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated employment law specialist looking to take on a diverse and rewarding caseload within the public sector.

Role: Senior Employment Lawyer – Local Authority

Umbrella Rate: £50-£55PH

PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.10 - £48.44

Location: Reading - Hybrid Working

Contract: 3 months ongoing

About the Role

Conducting and managing employment litigation matters (contentious and non-contentious) from start to finish, including advocacy at Employment Tribunal hearings.

Advising on a wide range of employment issues such as disciplinary and grievance procedures, sickness absence, TUPE, and restructuring.

Supporting and advising HR teams on day-to-day personnel processes and employment disputes.

Delivering training sessions to HR officers and stakeholders on employment law topics.About You

A current practising certificate and entitlement to practise in England and Wales as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX.

Post-qualification experience in employment law, ideally within a local authority or similar public sector environment.

Proven experience conducting Employment Tribunal matters and the confidence to handle your own advocacy for short hearings.Benefits:
