Description
Service Care Legal are working with a respected Central London housing provider, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their busy legal team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting housing management, leasehold, and arrears casework.
ROLE: Housing Paralegal
LOCATION: Central London
RATE: £30.00-34.22 per hour umbrella / £30.39ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £27.12ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
CONTRACT: Initial 3 months, 36 hours per week
Hybrid (3 x office days / 2 x home days).
The Role
Prepare and submit legal applications relating to lease expiry and arrears cases.
Represent the organisation in court hearings, ensuring professional advocacy in arrears and lease-related matters.
Provide legal guidance and oversight to Legal Assistants managing supporting documentation.
Collaborate with operational and housing teams to manage caseloads and mitigate legal risks.
The Person
Qualified (Law degree / CILEx or equivalent) with experience in housing law, leasehold or litigation.
Proven ability to manage complex caseloads within a legal, housing association, or local authority setting.
Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and excellent drafting, advocacy, and communication skills.
