A Pair of John Snelling Original Watercolour Paintings including on of Pin Mill Ipswich Suffolk
The paintings and frames are in good condition but the mounts would need to be replaced.
The cost of this is reflected in the asking price.
There has been increased interest in Snellings work recently reflected in the record prices paid for his work over the last few years.
Typically at auction these would have an estimate at £40.00 to £50.00 each (plus commission of 30%+) such is the demand for the work of this much loved and highly collected artist.
The cost of the replacement mounts is around £10 per picture
The frames of both measure 59.5cm x 44cm
Collection only from close to Christchurch Park in Ipswich
Only reason for the sale… I have nowhere to hang them so they have to go.
