Description
I’ve secured access to a 5-hectare sea-view vineyard in Sardinia (Italy), and I’m now looking for one or more business partners or investors to join me in developing a boutique wine project targeting the international market — with a particular focus on the UK.
The land is already planted but will need to be fully replanted, allowing us to choose the grape variety together. I am personally inclined to go for Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, the only DOCG wine in Sardinia and one of Italy’s most distinctive whites.
We also have the essential “right of plant” (planting entitlement), which is a key regulatory requirement in Italy.
The project benefits from a 15-year renewable lease, ensuring ample time to recover the investment and generate long-term value. The site already has water access, a farmhouse, and basic equipment.
First production is expected after three years, with full production from the fifth year onward.
My role will be to manage local relationships, coordinate vineyard operations, oversee marketing, and supervise the project on-site.
In addition, I personally own 50 hectares (around 100 acres) of land currently managed through subcontractors and tenants, and I see this vineyard as the perfect opportunity to expand into premium wine production with the right partner or partners. I have applied to the local authority to open a farmshop on a very busy road and will help further selling the wine.
I’m currently seeking one or more partners/investors to contribute to a total of roughly €60,000, with individual investments starting from €5,000.
Funds will mainly be used for:
-purchasing rooted cuttings (approx. €18,000–€20,000),
-poles and wire,
-essential machinery,
-labour and operational costs.
We also plan to apply for Regional and EU funding, which can further support the replanting costs and business development once the project is operational.
Beyond production, I plan to invest heavily in branding and marketing, building a distinctive identity around Sardinian Vermentino DOCG as a premium, boutique label for export.
For the sake of clarity and transparency, I would like to formalise this partnership through a written agreement — depending on your preference, it could be:
1)a Revenue-Sharing Model, where investors share a percentage of annual revenues;
2)a Secured Loan Agreement, with a fixed return and optional guarantees; or
3)an Association in Participation Agreement (Article 2549 of the Italian Civil Code) — a middle ground between equity participation and revenue sharing.
I’m happy to adapt to whichever model feels safest and most practical for both sides.
This is a serious and transparent opportunity. I would be happy to host up potential partners free of charge at my country house here in Sardinia — so we can meet in person, visit the vineyard, explore the area, and start shaping this brand together.
Best regards
