Description

My purpose is to help you create ceremonies that are bespoke and individual to you, encompassing your values and beliefs and that are full of memories for you and your families and friends for many years to come.

Married to Claire for over 35 years, with two grown up sons and now twin Grandson’s, it’s enabled me to appreciate and understand the importance of having those wonderful memories to look back on and to treasure the moments that make up those memories. So, whether your milestone is a Wedding, a Civil marriage, Vow renewal, Naming ceremony, Commitment ceremony or a Celebration of Life, I would feel honoured to be given the opportunity to be part of your memory making and by sharing your dreams, ideas and suggestions we will work to create a perfect and memorable ceremony, recognising at all times that it’s your day and therefore it’s your way.

A celebrant has no restrictions in terms of the content, presentation or style of a ceremony, and can therefore be completely personalised. Working with you, my ceremonies can contain many of the elements that you and your guests would expect to see but also can include many ideas or suggestions that make your ceremony unique and as individual as you are. I’ll promise to make your ceremony as heartfelt and relaxed as possible and aim to ensure that between us we create some amazing and unforgettable memories for you and your guests.

I'm pleased to say Bark has been a good source of enquiries with 14 confirmed bookings stretching into 2025 and some lovely reviews following these bookings which are always so very much appreciated.

I have also been awarded Celebrant of Year for 2025 in Hampshire by Hitched Weddings, something I'm very proud of too.

Richard was just perfect and put together a lovely ceremony for us, including a ring warming element together with a handfasting to celebrate our wedding. From the initial telephone conversation with Richard, we knew we had found the ideal celebrant for our wedding vow renewal, and we were not disappointed. Richard captured our whole lives together in a well written and beautifully executed ceremony. His wife also took some amazing photographs. We were so blessed in all that they offered and were so thankful to have them in our 30 year anniversary vow renewal celebrations.

We cannot thank Richard enough for being a part of our special day, and contributing to make it so special. As soon as we met him we knew he was the celebrant for us. Richard was warm and welcoming throughout and really took the time to get to know us, understand our story and crafted the perfect ceremony for us, that was the perfect blend of heartfelt and funny, and was completely us. I can't understate how nice it was to have a friendly face at the end of the aisle guiding us through the ceremony. We got many compliments on the day and still weeks after the wedding how fantastic the ceremony was and that they'd never seen one like that that was so personal and engaging - Richard did a fantastic job. He was helpful throughout and helped us understand the process to get legally married as well. For anyone considering a celebrant led wedding, I can't recommend it enough, it was the perfect experience for what we wanted. Thank you again Richard!

We wanted a very relaxed authentic wedding ceremony which Richard understood innately. He guided us through the ceremony ensuring we were happy with what was to be said well in advance, giving us time to amend or personalise what was suggested through years of experience. Professional yet very personable.
