Hi, I'm Kay an award- winning Celebrant from Bristol.
Although celebrants in England are not (currently!) able to perform a legally binding marriage, we CAN help to create a unique, personalised and beautiful ceremony - just the same as any wedding day - with you doing the legal bit in a registry office either beforehand or afterwards ( 2+2 or larger). This is what all of the couples for whom I have had the honour, joy and privilege of being their celebrant for their "wedding day" have done (see all the photos). If you are looking for someone to legally marry you at the same time, you will need to contact the registry office local to where you wish to live/have the legal ceremony. If you are still interested in having a celebrant ceremony too .... carry on reading......please!
Enabling any two people to declare their love is a real honour, and I'll be privileged to be a part of your journey. Your ceremony, whether an intimate affair or a bigger celebration, will encapsulate your one-of-a-kind story. Together, we can create vows and ceremony elements that are all about you, and we can discuss any specific customs or traditions you may be interested in.
Previous longstanding nursing experience has given me kindness, empathy, understanding and a real sense of fun, so I can tailor any ceremony to fit your needs.
As your chosen celebrant my goal is to incorporate your wishes and ensure you and your guests have a wonderful day! Inside or outside, formal or informal, fun or more traditional - anything is possible.
Ultimately, your ceremony should be friendly, warm and inclusive to ensure a memorable occasion. Everyone loves a good story so let's tell your story together.

We enjoyed having Kay as our wedding celebrant on 14th September 2025. She was warm and friendly, it was also important for us that our wedding celebrant had a sense of humour so it worked out nicely when we realised our sense of humour aligned. All of this had made our experience with Kay really easy going leading up to our wedding day. Thanks to Kay, our ceremony was so memorable and filled with love, it also had a good balance of laughter and tears (happy ones, of course!) We highly recommend Kay as a wedding celebrant.

Kay was absolutely exceptional as the celebrant for my dad, Norman’s farewell. From the very first conversation she brought warmth, empathy and a calm reassurance that meant more than I can put into words during such an emotional time. She knew my dad but still took the time to speak to the people closest to him and the ceremony reflected him perfectly. It was personal, meaningful, heartfelt and beautifully delivered. Kay held the space with such grace, guiding us through his life while allowing our emotions, tears and love for him to shine through. So many people commented afterwards on how touching and “right” the ceremony felt, and that is entirely down to Kay. It was a true celebration of my dad’s life and character, and we couldn’t have asked for a more fitting farewell. I will always be deeply grateful to Kay for the care, compassion and professionalism she showed our family. An absolute honour to have had her lead such an important moment for us. Our experience with Kay was exceptional from start to finish. She was personable, funny, and incredibly well-spoken. She guided us through the entire process with ease and delivered a ceremony that was tailored to us specifically; written and delivered beautifully. Many of our friends and family noted it was one of the best parts of the day. Would deeply recommend.

Kay Hamilton was nothing short of incredible. We were originally meant to be getting married in June 2026, but due to family circumstances she quite literally moved mountains to ensure my mum could see us get married in December. Her compassion, flexibility, and genuine care during what was an emotional time for us will never be forgotten. Kay spent real time getting to know me and my partner. She truly wanted to understand who we are as individuals and as a couple, and it showed so clearly in the ceremony. She captured us perfectly and our request to keep the ceremony quite short. And within the time frame we asked for, she was hilarious, warm, and engaging, had everyone involved, and created an atmosphere that was relaxed, joyful, and full of love. Her words and recommendations were so beautiful. Kay was an absolute asset to our day, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant. We feel so lucky to have had her be such a meaningful part of our journey and cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you Kay - you truly are one in a million x
