Hi, I'm Kay an award- winning Celebrant from Bristol.
Although celebrants in England are not (currently!) able to perform a legally binding marriage, we CAN help to create a unique, personalised and beautiful ceremony - just the same as any wedding day - with you doing the legal bit in a registry office either beforehand or afterwards ( 2+2 or larger). This is what all of the couples for whom I have had the honour, joy and privilege of being their celebrant for their "wedding day" have done (see all the photos). If you are looking for someone to legally marry you at the same time, you will need to contact the registry office local to where you wish to live/have the legal ceremony. If you are still interested in having a celebrant ceremony too .... carry on reading......please!
Enabling any two people to declare their love is a real honour, and I'll be privileged to be a part of your journey. Your ceremony, whether an intimate affair or a bigger celebration, will encapsulate your one-of-a-kind story. Together, we can create vows and ceremony elements that are all about you, and we can discuss any specific customs or traditions you may be interested in.
Previous longstanding nursing experience has given me kindness, empathy, understanding and a real sense of fun, so I can tailor any ceremony to fit your needs.
As your chosen celebrant my goal is to incorporate your wishes and ensure you and your guests have a wonderful day! Inside or outside, formal or informal, fun or more traditional - anything is possible.
Ultimately, your ceremony should be friendly, warm and inclusive to ensure a memorable occasion. Everyone loves a good story so let's tell your story together.

We loved having Kay as the celebrant for our wedding and would highly recommend her. From the first day we met, she was friendly, welcoming and put us at ease. She listened to us and told our story beautifully on the day. Throughout the ceremony she kept it personal, light hearted and fun! All our guests commented on the ceremony itself and how well she told our story. We would definitely recommend booking Kay as a celebrant.

Kay was fantastic. We were recommended Kay and met at a café to get to know each other. We instantly knew that we wanted Kay to lead our ceremony and we are so pleased that we made this decision. In the build up to the wedding, Kay met with us again and really took the time to get to know us and our story. We went through the plans for the day and the atmosphere that we wanted and Kay was really helpful and supportive in making this happen. Kay was really proactive in checking that her words and delivery were what we were after and it meant that we were completely relaxed and calm in the build up to the wedding. Kay was also happy to make suggestions and was not put out if we went in a different direction for some things. However, Kay was right in suggesting a singalong for everyone and that part of the ceremony was one of the most memorable parts of our day. On the day itself, Kay was brilliant. Super relaxed and calm which rubbed off on everyone else. Kay went over the plan with me one more time to check I was confident and prepared for Symone's arrival. The delivery of the ceremony was perfect. It was a wonderful mix of humour and a subtle nod to tradition, without it being overly "lovey dovey" which is what we had spoken about. Kay included some lovely personal touches, linking Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, with several comments about football, food and drink which are some of our favourite hobbies. Kay was able to tell our story and all of the feedback we have had from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive. We have no regrets at all and are delighted we went with Kay for our wedding. We would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Kay is a warm and friendly person who took the time to get to know us and make our ceremony our own. We wanted an informal and fun vibe for our ceremony which she delivered brilliantly, and throughout the process she always communicated to us exactly what she would be providing during the ceremony. Kay also is well known and well liked at the venue we chose (The Mount Without), which made the process run very smoothly. She also gave us a wealth of tips throughout the process on planning our wedding in general, which was invaluable. We would absolutely recommend Kay to any couple looking to have a ceremony which is both light-hearted and meaningful.

Kay was our wedding celebrant, she was unbelievable and we are so glad we chose her. She really "got" what we wanted for our ceremony and we loved working with her on it. We had so much fun spending time with Kay in the run up to the wedding and telling her our story. On the day, the ceremony was perfect - so many of our guests told us it was their favourite part of the day, it felt so personal and Kay was just wonderful! Hope to keep in touch with her and would recommend her to anyone.

Kay Hamilton was nothing short of incredible. We were originally meant to be getting married in June 2026, but due to family circumstances she quite literally moved mountains to ensure my mum could see us get married in December. Her compassion, flexibility, and genuine care during what was an emotional time for us will never be forgotten. Kay spent real time getting to know me and my partner. She truly wanted to understand who we are as individuals and as a couple, and it showed so clearly in the ceremony. She captured us perfectly and our request to keep the ceremony quite short. And within the time frame we asked for, she was hilarious, warm, and engaging, had everyone involved, and created an atmosphere that was relaxed, joyful, and full of love. Her words and recommendations were so beautiful. Kay was an absolute asset to our day, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant. We feel so lucky to have had her be such a meaningful part of our journey and cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you Kay - you truly are one in a million x
