I'm Andy — and I've had a few careers, but this is the one I was born to do.

Before I became a celebrant, I spent years as a police detective working on some of the most serious cases you can imagine — homicides, counter-terrorism, the kind of work where every detail matters and reading people is everything. Before that, I was a football referee in the Scottish Premiership, and I was lucky enough to run the line at a Scottish Cup Final, a League Cup Final and Champions League matches. So trust me when I say — standing in front of a crowd and commanding a room is something I'm very comfortable with.

But honestly? Nothing I've ever done comes close to the buzz of conducting a wedding.

I'm the celebrant who'll put you at ease from the moment we first speak, help you craft a ceremony that actually sounds like you, and then deliver it with warmth, heart and just the right amount of humour on the day itself. No stuffy scripts, no awkward silences — just a relaxed, personal ceremony that your guests will genuinely enjoy and you'll remember forever.

I've conducted hundreds of weddings all over Scotland — from barefoot ceremonies on beaches and wild hilltop elopements to grand celebrations at venues like Turnberry and Cameron House. I specialise in "Destination Scotland" weddings for couples travelling from abroad, as well as same-sex weddings, elopements and everything in between. Wherever you're planning to say "I do," I can legally marry you there.

I was recently named one of the Top 50 Wedding Celebrants in the World by Weddings Magazine, and I have over 150 five-star Google reviews — but the thing I'm proudest of is the number of couples who tell me their ceremony was their favourite part of the whole day.

We booked Andy for our ceremony after reading the great reviews he had. Andy lived up to his reviews and more. He made sure our ceremony was personal to us and was exactly what we wanted. We absolutely loved having Andy conduct our ceremony! He was fun, relaxed and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. He took everything we said and put his own spin on it, making it feel so personal and special to us. We’re not the best at putting our feelings into words, but Andy somehow managed to capture exactly what we wanted to say and absolutely smashed it! We honestly couldn’t recommend Andy enough! From the very beginning, his communication was brilliant — he was friendly, helpful and made sure we had all the paperwork and everything else sorted, which made the whole process feel really easy. We had a video call with Andy first and then met up in person to chat through our options, and he immediately put us at ease. On the wedding day itself, he was exactly the same — relaxed, friendly and made us feel completely comfortable. Andy really took the time to get to know us and captured our story so well. He told it in such a personal, fun and hilarious way, and it felt so us. The ceremony was full of personality and plenty of laughs, and so many of our guests commented afterwards that it was the best ceremony they’d been to — which says it all! If you’re looking for a celebrant who will make the whole process easy, actually get to know you, and deliver a ceremony that’s personal, relaxed and loads of fun, we’d 100% recommend Andy. What a man this is btw. Me and my wife got married on Tuesday the 20th October and having Andy as our celebrant made all the more enjoyable it felt like we have know him our whole lives and now will always hold a special place in our hearts. So please if you are looking for a good celebrant to marry you I highly recommend andy. If you don't get him to marry you I'll be sure to give you the red card 🤣🤣

Andy married my wife and I on 03.10.2026 and we could not recommend him enough. From the moment we had our first call with him prior to booking we knew he was the perfect person to marry us. His communication was excellent and he was always there to answer any questions and advise us every step of the way with things such as giving notice of marriage which we were totally clueless with. We also had an in depth call to go through absolutely everything and for us to get to know each other. On the day he provided the most beautiful ceremony that was everything we imagined at more. It was lighthearted and he carried humour throughout it all, exactly as we had wanted. He kept us both at ease and made us both feel super relaxed during the ceremony. All our guests commented on what a lovely story he told and we all absolutely loved him. Thank you so so much Andy!! You are phenomenal at your job.
