Yamaha XS650 Special – 1980 – Custom.
A nice tidy 1980 Yamaha XS650 Special (3U6 frame) with the correct 447 engine,
Registered in the UK since 1999.
These are getting harder to find in genuinely good mechanical condition.
Strong, 447 XS650 twin
No smoke, no rattles, no knocks,
Electronic ignition kit fitted (electrex world)– reliable, no points to adjust
Kick‑start only
Pulls well through all gears
1980 XS650SG Special frame (3U6)
Clean engine cases and chrome
Good tyres and brakes (twin disk front)
Adjustable suspension
Solid flat tracker stance
Small dent on tank where something dropped off the shelf onto it – cosmetic only
The other tank in the pictures can go with it. No dents but needs painting
V5 present
MOT history shows ~32k miles before clocks were changed Current speedo shows about ~5,500 miles
Tax and mot exempt but will need to be registered as historic.
