For sale is my beautiful 1996 Triumph Thunderbird 900, with 20,720 miles and having had only three owners from new.
Originally supplied by Fowlers of Gloucestershire in 1996, this is a genuine British built Hinckley Triumph triple. The previous owner kept the motorcycle for more than 20 years, maintained and cared for it and toured extensively across Europe with it.
The original service book is stamped up to 11,495 miles. There is a large collection of subsequent invoices and maintenance records to show later servicing. Much of the later work was carried out by P G M Motorcycles Padstow who are a well established business of over 20 years.
Recent work includes replacement of the crank position sensor and crank cover gasket. The crank position sensor is a recognised age related issue on these and has now been addressed. The paperwork also includes evidence that the carburettors have previously been professionally cleaned.
The motorcycle starts, runs and is ready to ride.

I purchased the motorcycle a little over a month ago after deciding to return to riding following spinal surgery a few years ago. Unfortunately, after time away from motorcycles, I have found that I have lost more confidence than expected and the Thunderbird is simply too heavy and powerful for me.
This is therefore a reluctant and genuine sale of a beautiful, characterful Hinckley Triumph.
Viewing and inspection are very welcome, and the motorcycle can be seen starting from cold. Test rides will only be permitted with proof of insurance.
