Description
1979 MGB Convertible left hand drive
The vehicle was imported from California in November 2003 and fully registered in the UK June 2004, with all the supporting import documentation + UK V5 registration document. The vehicle was 1st registered in January 1997.
I bought the car from a friend in the state and it has been in my possession since arriving in the UK November 2003. The car has been stored in a dry garage and has hardly been used over the past 20 years, mileage 33,000. The body work is in very good condition with no welding or rust with the original factory paintwork, as seen in the photographs, 2 areas of very slight damage on the rear passenger wing and rear panel above round the petrol fill cap. The underneath is in perfect condition and has been oiled and greased underneath for additional protection. As shown in the pictures the engine was converted to the UK spec with twin carburettors , while the car been hardly used in the UK, stored in the dry on metal stands and I have regularly on a weekly / monthly basis started the car to keep the engine running & in good working order. The car has all the original 3 style soft top leather and only a minor tare to the folding soft top and the rest are in perfect condition. The car also come with a removable hardtop. The reason for selling the vehicle is that I will be retiring in the near future & looking to spend time with my family in Australia.
Recommend that the car is inspected for serious buyer plus new buyer to collect by trailer.
