Ford Escort RS2000 custom black. I have owned this iconic RS2000 custom since October 1989. Authentication by the VIN no starting GCAT, the recaro interior, the custom clock in the dash, the rear axle brace bars to the chassis, the strength webbing on the inner front wings, the spare wheel securing points in the rear boot. It has been stripped for the intentions of a full refurbishment. The RS2000 are a sound solid investment and can be seen to command a healthy return. I have the current VC5, mileage 89378 miles, genuine RS2000 custom colour black, engine & vin numbers match VC5. Engine 2.0 pinto ohc, new pistons, new shells, head skimmed, reseated valves, new ohc cam. This iconic car with a little more investment could easily return a price tag of 40k plus in the current market. The car is complete but will ideally be someone who is familiar with the RS2000. It will need bodywork & welding. The bodywork has been sprayed with a yellow deep coat undercoat which has formed a barrier against the weather, see attached photos.
