Indigo is a small & friendly practice with a fervent enthusiasm for helping people to achieve elegant, bespoke design solutions in response to each clients specific needs to be delivered within the most efficient viable construction cost.

Our main passion is working with people on private residential projects, whether they be minor home improvements through extension to an existing home, a bespoke new build dream home, sensitive conversion of barns and other existing buildings, and everything in between.

We also work regularly on larger residential development schemes, holiday lets, specialist accommodation (e.g., small care homes for children and adults) and other industry sectors to include education, healthcare, hospitality and leisure).

We are not tied to any particular architectural style with focus on being flexible to achieve the desired external aesthetic and internal spaces to suit the client whilst respecting the context of the locality. We achieve this through careful selection of materials and architectural detailing to ensure the desired result is realised, providing clients with buildings that harmonise with their needs and the local context.

We have additional expertise in providing planning consultancy services, having a wealth of experience in complex sites in the Green Belt, wider countryside, conservation areas and listed buildings.

Our main office is in Belper with a 2nd small office near Newark. We take on small projects within reasonable distance of either office, typically covering most of the East and West Midlands.

For larger projects, we are able to cover most of England and Wales.

The Indigo mantra is to provide the professionalism, quality of service and overall experience we'd want to encounter for ourselves.

Our focus is on delivering a quality of work that is beyond that of our peers but we do not prejudice those on smaller budgets and seek to work flexibly with all clients to achieve a level of service that meets their needs without overspending budget on design fees.
