Description
This is an ideal tool for framers who work in wood too large to take to a static machine.
I have had this machine for a number of years but not often used it. It is in excellent condition and its use has been enhanced by having a pair of longer adjustment slide bars made.
Photo 1 shows a general view of the machine with the original (shorter) slide bars in front and the longer ones on the machine and complete with manual.
Photos 3,4, and 5 give different views of the machine clamped on a green oak beam.
Photos 5 and 6 show the finish left by the chain.
The controls may look complicated and a bit ungainly but are quickly mastered and allow both longitudinal and lateral adjustment.
This is a really useful machine and I am reluctant to sell it but at 82 years of age I think that the construction I have just completed will be my last (timbers seen in photo were worked only a short while ago). I would like it to be useful to somebody else but I cannot let it go cheaply hence the price.
