This cat tree we got with the carpet on the ‘Steps’ are carpeted but you can easily take the staples out from underneath which won’t affect the use, the cats found it better with carpet on, as it could be not grippy enough for when they climb,
The top part just screws back on, we found it too high for our older cat, hasn’t had much use, so might as well let another kitty or three, have the pleasure of using it, 🐈⬛
There are 2 openings at the bottom cat hideaway, so you can maybe add their favorite pet bed,
