Description
An antique/vintage original one-of-a-kind watercolour painting housed in a traditional, ornate gilt frame with beaded detailing, which is typical of late 19th century - mid-20th century gallery displays. It signed in the bottom left corner by the artist, Aime Felix Nicollerat (1876-1946). Nicollerat was a French artist known for his watercolour landscapes. Similar works by this artist have been listed at auction with guide-prices starting at £500.
The painting depicts a warm-toned towering mountain range basking in a sunrise light, with trees anchoring the foreground over a sloping green meadow.
It is in very good condition for its age but minor signs of wear may occur in places. The painting itself is protected by a glass frame and so it is in excellent order.
