Description
The FBJs are looking for a new bass player. We are a 4 piece instrumental band playing original material. The line up of the band Nestor Diez (40 ) Trombone, Kat Day (60) Guitar/Composer/Arranger, Andy Tuck (40) Drums and Bass (Wanted). Our UTUBE channel is listed under contacted details where you can find footage of our latest gig (30/5/2026).
We have a full set of songs rehearsed (1Hr 30mins) and we can provide lead sheets and recordings and some Bass tabs/Notation for specific sections. There is plenty of opportunity to bring your own style of playing to the band and you will need to be able to improvise. We have our own rehearsal space in BS7 permanently set up and free. The music is more like 60s crime film music rather than Jazz.
We are keen to get out gigging so we will do all we can to assist a new member and I urge you to view the videos. Rehearsals are arranged around gigs. Start with the Bay of Pigs Live. If you are interested please can you send me a break down of the gear you use and a video of you playing.
