Description
Antique Music Song Book: 1912 Songs Of Old London Number 3 For Low Voice (Rare Version).
This is a private sale from a pet and smoke free home. This sheet music has been in my family since it was originally purchased new and is now being offered for sale as I no longer have a piano.
Music by Herbert Oliver. Words by Edward Teschemacher. Published by J. H. Larway in 1912.
The 35 numbered pages of this charming soft covered book contain the music and lyrics for:
London Spring Song
Buy My Strawberries
Down Vauxhall Way
The Nightingales Of Lincoln’s Inn
May-Day At Islington.
The front and back covers show signs of wear – as is to be expected given this publication is more than 100 years old. The glue on the inside of the cover has dried out over the years which has resulted in the cover becoming detached from the contents. However, there are no loose or missing pages and they are all securely bound. The pages have turned a slightly yellow colour and a few have small spots of foxing on them, which is normal for paper of this age. Some of the musical notes have been highlighted with light pencil marks to assist the musician.
Please refer to the photographs provided to make your own assessment regarding the condition of this item.
Size: approximately 31.5 cm high x 25 cm wide.
Buyer to collect, and pay cash on collection please. Regret no returns accepted. Thank you.
