The Ariel Square Four was launched in 1931 to almost universal acclaim and would soon become affectionately known as “the squariel.” ‘GFM396,’ is an impressive example of the later 4G , 995cc model introduced in 1937. ‘GFM396’ arrives from enthusiastic, long term ownership of around 14 years. This squariel arrived with the current owner fresh from a reported engine rebuild and the addition of Morego oil pump and an electric ignition to improve both durability and usability. ‘GFM396’ is offered with some older MOT copies as well as its V5 Registration Document. Classified as an Historic Vehicle, ‘GFM396’ is zero rated for road tax and MOT exempt.
