Finsbury Park, London
£280

Description
The Boss RT-20 is a dual pedal rotary Leslie speaker simulator employing COSM®-modelling technology to reproduce classic rotary-speaker sounds.
In addition to simulating a rotary Leslie speaker - with adjustable Rise Time, Horn and Bass speed, and Overdrive – the RT-20 has a ‘Univibe’ mode and can be used to create unique overdrive and pulsating effects.
Also features a ‘Drive Type’ switch to optimize for connection to guitar or keyboard.
In excellent condition.
Effect Modes:
There are four effect modes, three of which are rotary speaker emulations while the fourth is the Univibe mode
Mode 1 is designed to sound like a Leslie 122, including that model's overdrive characteristics.
Mode 2 replicates a close-miked version of the same unit to give an enhanced modulation effect.
Mode 3 combines the rotary speaker of the first two models with a 1959 Marshall guitar amp, offering more distortion.
Mode 4 is a Univibe setting, again combined with the guitar amp distortion of Mode 3.
Both the input (switchable to suit guitar or keyboard) and output can be in mono or stereo. There’s a headphone output, and you can plug in an expression pedal (optional) to control the effect's speed directly.
Dual Pedal:
The left pedal turns the effect on or off and the right pedal switches between slow and fast speeds. Pressing both pedals together activates the brake, imitating the effect of bringing the rotors to a halt over the period of two or three seconds. The right pedal LED blinks when the brake is active, and stomping on the speed pedal starts the rotary effect again.
Virtual Rotor Display:
The unique graphic display provides a real time view of the audio-rotation rotation pattern and speed of the RT-20. The centre of the display, illuminated in red light, represents the virtual horn. The outside ring, illuminated in blue, displays the rotation of the virtual bass speaker.
