Description

Hi there,
So this is a brilliant 15 watt hand wired and built by Simon at Vyse amps; based in Churchill near Bristol.
I bought it new, directly from Simon only last November, as I loved the sound and simplicity of it.
He told me that it's an early/prototype 'Renegade' combo, which he's had in the workshop for a while. The current Renegade sells now for around £1800. (please see on the Vyse amps website).
Admittedly, this one has less controls than the current Renegade, which has separate treble, middle and bass, but as I say, that's what I loved about this:- Volume, a very effective Tone and a lovely Reverb; that's it.
It has a different speaker than the new Renegade. This has, hopefully as you can see, a 12 inch UK made celestion G12 Century Vintage neo, so it's light. It's also really gutsy, with bite.
This speaker gets a lots of great reviews, especially from Zilla cabs.
It has 2 6V6 valves in the power section giving out PLENTY of volume for a gig.
There are pre amp and rectifier valves too, as you can see.
I'm selling it because, when I directly compared it, I still prefered my old Fender valve combo. It's as simple as that.
I can't justify having 2 combos like this; I'm sad to say!
I feel it leans slightly more towards a British than American sound and cranked it's fantastic, takes pedals well and, as it's all hand wired; it's high quality and easy to maintain or modify for years to come.
I'm sure you can appreciate via the pictures, the beauty of the crafstmanship of the build.
Size wise; from memory (sorry!), it's about 20 inches wide, 17 inches tall and 11 inches deep.
You may think the price is suspiciously low, but I'm simply getting my money back!
It's over at Heron music on Whitehall road, Bristol, where the splendid Dave is happy to let you have a play. Good luck and thanks for looking.
Keith.
