Description
Beautiful dressing table / desk from the 1980's. G Plan. It is has been thoroughly cleaned, prepped, primed,
and then hand painted in a gorgeous light pink flat matt furniture paint called "Sakai".
The edges of the drawers, mirror, legs and top have had a very light brush with a opalescent pink which gives a lovely shimmer to the piece.
I have applied a raised stencil to the sides of the piece in a leaf / frond design. These have then also been given a brush with the opalescent pink.
The drawers have an unusual floral design paper applied to them, made from recycled materials , so truly environmentally friendly .
Original wooden drawer knobs have been removed and replaced with marble and gold pulls which look fantastic against the gold in the pattern of the paper and give a more modern feel. The inside of the top right drawer has a small jewellery tray which has been painted and lined with pink felt. Ideal for small bits and pieces.
The mirror unit just rests on top meaning it can just be moved aside if you need more space, and makes this item useable as an office desk too ( much nicer than a run of the mill office desk). The mirror unit also has a drawer which is lined with pink felt.
There's a useful shelf underneath in the knee hole / stool space, also in pink but with a gold edge.
The entire piece has been give two coats of varnish for durability.
This is a large, solid and heavy piece and will require two people to uplift.
150cm wide
46cm deep
70cm high
The mirror unit is:
66cm wide
24cm deep
64cm high (including the mirror)

***Just realised I have placed the mirror unit off centre, but as I say it's not an issue as it's free standing***
