Polycell Metal frame window lock

Description

Vintage Polycell metal frame window lock.

Brand new in packaging.

Suitable for side or top hinged metal windows.

Suitable for metal frames.

Key, spacers, lock and self tapping screws included.


I bought this item some years ago and over time the packaging has suffered with wear and tear as seen on the pictures uploaded to the listing, however the item remains sealed and has never been opened.


To fit window lock you will require a 9/64 (3.6mm) drill bit and a cross head screwdriver.

fitting instructions:
1. Close Window. Position lock on opening edge of window and as near to the middle of the frame as possible, leaving a gap of 1/8 (3mm) between the lock edge and the fixed window frame.
2. Holding the lock in position, open window and ensure lock clears the fixed frame.
3. Mark centre of holes. Before drilling, ensure that the holes to be drilled will miss the glass.
4. Before inserting the drill bit into the chuck, place the small spacer on the end of the bit with the larger spacer immediately behind it. Fix the bit into the chuck so that when the short spacer is removed it will automatically measure the correct depth for the hole (see diagram).
5. Drill holes and fix lock to window with self-tapping screws
6. For extra security, carefully drill out the drive slots of the screw heads.
