Ercol Blonde Welsh Dresser Sideboard Model 453 Special Light Finish Storage Unit

This lovely Ercol dresser is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to any home - it is ready for use. According to the label it is a model 453, however, it appears to be similar to the slightly earlier model 311D. It is in the 'SL' or 'Special Light' finish, similar to the finish colloquially called blonde; this denotes that it is a special order colour for a piece usually seen in the darker Old Colonial colours. It is a good size with a removable top that has two shelves, ideal for books or displaying items, with divots for plates. The base has a large double door cupboard below two drawers, one with a handy cutlery storage tray. It is made from either elm or ash; either way, it has some stunning grain on display. The finish gives it a lovely light colour, ideal for any setting. There is a small dent on each of the drawers' tops, likely from when a previous owner has tried to access the drawers with a screwdriver; however, this doesn't affect its use. There is also a small repaired split in the very top, again, this will not affect use. There are a couple of very small holes in the top of the base, where it looks like a previous owner has attached the top to the bottom with some screws. There are some slight marks and scratches in places from age and use, please see photos for full details of condition.

Approximate measurements are 63 ¼” (160.5cm) tall, 48 ½” (123cm) wide and 18 ⅞” (48cm) deep not including handles (need to do base height).
